Isidora Isidora has been a dancer all her life and fell in love with belly dance in 1992. Her degrees through the University of Minnesota are in History and Dance, and she has studied various traditions of movement from around the world including stage and folk dances of the Middle East and North Africa, flamenco, Mexican folklorico and martial arts. Rather than devote herself to one specific tradition, she prefers to blend these diverse forms into her unique style called Tejedora which means “weaver” in Spanish. She has been a premier dancer in Greek and Moroccan restaurants, and now performs predominantly on stage as a solo artist, and with her students.
Isidora teaches locally in Southern Colorado, around the country and internationally, and is one of the stars of Temptation of Belly Dance and Fantasy Belly Dance, both cutting-edge DVDs designed to raise the level of belly dance to a high art of theater and film. You can find her schedules, as well as more information, photos and video on her website. After being hit by a drunk driver in 2000, she slowly began teaching again, sharing with her students the many things she learned in recovery, such as body alignment, natural movement and soul searching. The dance drills that she created during physical therapy have become the foundation of her teaching technique, scheduled for video production soon. She has dedicated her life to The Dance and to sharing it with others. It is is her profession, her principle, and her pastime, but most of all, it is her passion.

LoriAnn LoriAnn is the Owner and Artistic Director of Wildfire Bellydance Company. LoriAnn has had a love of dance and being on the stage since the age of 3 and is trained in tap, jazz, lyrical, and Bellydance. Which is why in 2005 she opened her own studio called Lori’s Studio of Dance and Performing Arts, which has dance instruction in, Ballet, Lyrical, Tap, Jazz, Hip-hop, Creative Movement, Acting, Tumbling, Burlesque Aerobics and of course Bellydance!
Wildfire Bellydance Company was founded in 2010 and is a wonderful group of dancers that perform, put on workshops, dance at festivals and just plain have a great time. We welcome all levels, sizes, shapes, and loveliness to our company. We are a dance company, we are performers, and we are a community of dancers who love what we do. We are silly, we are serious, we are full of comedy, and sometimes we are full of “it”… whatever “it” may be. There is a wide range of variety in our performances with elements of Theatrical, Dark and Twisted, Fun and Funky and everything in between, always keeping the “out of the box” style that we have become famous for. LoriAnn stands by her philosophy that dance is fun, classes are fun and performing is fun, and anyone can do it! LoriAnn is a true believer in, building self-esteem and confidence in all dancers, regardless of their abilities, age or attitudes.
"I never want to limit myself to staying inside the box of what everyone else does; after all, I have my own ideas and roads to pave." (LoriAnn, 2010) |

Mizmar MadnessMizmar Madness, Colorado Springs’ first professional improvisational American Tribal Style (ATS) belly dance troupe, formed in 2005 under the directorship of Barb Van Hoy (see also Zafia and Springs Oasis Belly Dance). They primarily follow a Fat Chance Belly Dance format but they also look to TribalTique, Gypsy Caravan, inFusion, and other tribal notables for inspiration. They love dancing together and for all their fans and audiences up and down the Colorado Front Range. A compliment they continue to receive and love is “all of you look like you’re having so much fun together”.

Molly McClellan- TribalTique- TribalTique Denver Molly is a Tribal Improv and Tribal Fusion dancer based out of Denver, CO
Molly McClellan's (Kucmerowski) love for dance has guided her all her life. Beginning her dance studies at a young age, she hasn't stopped since. Molly began her belly dance training in South Florida, studying under Maja, girl from the Nile (sponsor of Spirit of the Tribes), and was hooked. She continued her studies after leaving South Florida, when she moved to New Orleans and studied under Megha Gavin, the director of Devyani, a certified teacher, and partner with Carolena Nericcio of FatChanceBellyDance, in the American Tribal Style (ATS) format. Molly danced as a member of the "Daughters of Devi" until Megha left New Orleans in September of 2003. After Megha left, the remaining members of Devyani formed N.o.madic tribal Dance Company, where Molly danced with them until she moved to Denver in June 2004.
Once in Denver, Molly met Julia DiVerdi and in the Summer of 2004 they joined forces to create a new experiment in Tribal Belly Dance, TribalTique. The two have been an unstoppable force not only in the Colorado belly dance scene, but also nationally, teaching and performing at events country-wide.
Molly has been in the local area performing solo and with TribalTique for over 6 years. She also is a much sought-after instructor who has taught sold out workshops locally and at national events such as Tribal Fest.
Always thirsty for knowledge and technique, Molly has has completed the General Skills Certification with Carolena Nericcio of FatChanceBellyDance, and has studied with Urban Tribal, Rachel Brice and the Indigo, Suzanna Del Vecchio, and UNMATA, to name a few. In 2008, she became a registered and certified yoga instructor. She considers herself to be an eternal student
Molly also owns and operates, Red Elephant Workshop, an underground movement studio.
As the Co-Director of TribalTique, Molly heads up the Denver Tribal Improv chapter.

Phoenix of Denver Phoenix of Denver lives and performs in the Denver area. Phoenix approaches belly dancing from a spiritual and artistic direction. Her fluid performance is a fusion of various styles. She has shared the stage with many well known dancers and talented artists. Her performance is most often improvisational and is always from the heart. Phoenix is a member the band Yallah! and the professional troupe - the Sultry Emberz. Phoenix is co-sponsor of the Shimmy 2B Free! fundraising events in Colorado & California.
Phoenix began belly dancing in 1997. She shares the beauty of this art form with many by sponsoring haflas and teaching. Phoenix and Yallah! host haflas on a regular basis with the idea of creating a non-competitive and supportive environment for dancers and drummers.
Phoenix released the "Isis Wings with Phoenix" instructional DVD in 2008. This is available along with choreographies through Phoenix – you can contact her at phoenix_dancing@hotmail.com for more info or how to order.
While Phoenix does love traditional belly dance, she enjoys moving out of the traditional realm and taking the dance down a different track. This includes more theatrical experiments, various styles of music including rock and more, and light hearted fun comedy dances. Phoenix enjoys varying her performance using single and double veil, wings, feather fans (larger and smaller versions), Thai fingers, sword and double sword, cane, veil poi (voi), and fire.
As a teacher, Phoenix works with each student to develop strength in their moves, technique, and create their own style. She teaches self-expression and creativity. Also, she teaches each of student zill techniques from the drummer and dancer perspective. Phoenix provides performance opportunities for her students to grow.
Phoenix continues to share this beautiful form of self-expression and art by teaching, workshops, sponsoring events and performance. She hopes to awaken the goddess within us all.
Phoenix is available for workshops in your area - contact her at phoenix_dancing@hotmail.com or www.phoenix-dancing.com |
